With the version 8 release of Messenger, Microsoft has tinkered with the name - the program is now known as Windows Live Messenger - formerly it was MSN Messenger. From version 8.1, messenger is also compatible with Windows Vista. Windows Live Messenger is an instant messaging program that lets you send instant messages, pictures and other files to other users. You can also call a phone anywhere in the world from your computer, see when someone is typing a message to you, page a contact's mobile phone and more. This release adds new features like Nudges and animated Winks to help you get someone's attention, bug fixes, fixed some important security holes and added other various new features.
